Broward Education Foundation raises funds to support Innovative Teaching in Broward County Public Schools.

Innovative Teacher Grants are the cornerstone upon which Broward Education Foundation was built. The vitally important grants are awarded to PreK-12 educators who develop innovative curriculum designed to reach under-performing and an increasingly diverse student population. Performance-based metrics consistently show an increase in student achievement as a result of implementation of innovative curriculum.

A gift designated for Innovative Teaching greatly impacts the quality of education in Broward County.

Grant priority is given to programs uniquely designed to do one or more of the following:  Educate students in financial literacy; incorporate alternative learning strategies; promote interdisciplinary learning, involve parents, businesses, community organizations and/or social service agencies; bridge culture or ethnic barriers; and involve a collaboration of teachers working to improve student learning.
